Mid-Hudson Woodworkers Picnic Sept. 10
What: Mid-Hudson Picnic
When: Saturday September 10, 2011 at 12:00 Noon
Where: Opdahl Farm
It is again time to dig out the folding chairs, make something for the raffle, and bring a dish to share. We will be treated to some of Joe Benkert's famous homemade sausage with all the trimmings. And the pot-luck feast provided by we members is always a treat.
There will be tape measure races weather permitting. Chuck Walker will bring the short track used for racing tapes only instead of the vehicles powered by tape measures that are the signature of the NWA picnic in Jonesville. The tape you bring does not have to be "stock" but it must be at least 8' long. The lighter the better. The tapes at right have had excess hardware removed like cover, belt clip, and brake. Other modifications may have been made but you will have to challenge these tapes to learn how!
One new feature is that we can now get times for the tapes from start to finish. Times are accurate to the nearest thousandth of a second! They do go quickly! Bring your favorite tape and challenge all entries! Winner earns bragging rights.
